Alverta Green Museum
The Mason Historical Society’s Alverta Green Museum remains in a charming Victorian house displaying antiques, photographs, documents and artifacts which detail the history and heritage of the city of Mason, Ohio. Free academic trips for households, adults, and children are led by volunteers and may be scheduled for trainees, scouts, homeschoolers, and other groups. Warren County Information.
The Alverta Green Museum is called after Alverta Bedacht Green, a local antiquarian and longtime resident who deeded her home to the Mason Historical Society in January of 1987.
It is Mason’s best kept secret located in the heart of the historic district. Go back in time when you visit this 1890’s Victorian house filled with duration furniture and artifacts donated by generous Mason residents. Your home was built by William C. VanFossen, who served four terms as a mayor of Mason, very first elected in 1892.
