Sightings of coyotes are increasing throughout the state of Ohio. There are many reasons why residents are seeing more of these animals around their homes. Mating season is one of those reasons. The typical mating season for coyotes begins in mid-January and runs for about two months. During these months, coyotes are more active during the daylight hours and can become more aggressive as they search for food and mates.

Trapping coyotes is one way to help control the populations and where these animals feel free to roam around. There are many methods and reasons for trapping these animals. Trapping Tactics That Work for Coyote

Trapping has had its ups and downs in Ohio in recent years.
